Focal Areas

Our focus is to serve as a Resource Centre for dalit and tribal organisations working in the field of Women and Health.  Our work can be broadly classified as -

• Resource Development, distribution and co-ordination
• Women and Health trainings
• Body Literacy School programme
• Working with Men – Towards Gender Equality
• Human Right Campaigns – related to pertinent issues women and health

However, our focus would change with needs and requests that are voiced by local organisations from the field.  For instance, an organisation from south Maharashtra called in with an observation that a large number were undergoing hysterectomy operations in their project areas.  So we helped design a simple survey questionnaire to understand more about such a trend. 

Advocacy for awareness and policy change on otherwise ‘invisible’ aspects of women’s work, health and violence against women is the mainstay of our work.
