Campaigns
In accordance with Tathapi’s belief in people’s right to health and information and its mission to promote the principles of equality, democracy and justice, we seek to make a contribution to improve women’s health and information by initiating and participating in campaigns that we believe will fullfill these goals.
Some of these campaigns have included -
- towards ‘Health for All’ through the Jan Arogya Abhiyan,
- ‘Right to Food campaign’,
- for ‘Quality Care in Sterilisation Camps for Women’,
- against the ‘2-child Norm’ in Maharashtra
We also actively participated (both, as part of Jan Arogya Abhiyan) in the
- allotment of beds for TB department at Sassoon Hospital
- against the handover of a Pune Municipal Corporation Hospital to a private medical trust in Pune
We have also conducted more short term period bound Campaigns as part of projects to
- against child marriage in 9 villages of Latur and Osmanabad
- on violence against women in 9 villages of Latur and Osmanabad
- to women’s titles onto houses in rural areas as per the government directive in 12 villages under the project area of ‘Towards Equality: Working with Men’ (A pilot project to develop interventions to work with Men).
